Verdict

Halation's form figures read well but he does look on a high enough mark for what he's achieved and CRAFTSMANSHIP is preferred. Robert Eddery has his string in good nick and his son of Mastercraftsman followed up a convincing Nottingham victory with a more than respectable third next time up on good to firm at Newbury, staying on well to be beaten less than a length. Those efforts represented a major improvement on what had gone before and hopefully he'll sustain that progress. Biotic looks dangerous despite being 1lb out of the weights, whilst Carthage, Zerfaal and Master Of The World are supplied with first-time headgear, all having not been at their best when last seen but with claims on their respective previous bests.
