    Verdict

It was good to see Marcus Tregoning continue his recent resurgence with Fyrecracker winning at Ascot's King George meeting over the weekend and CATARIA GIRL can keep things ticking over here. Jordan Vaughan partnered the mare to a narrow success at Bath on the firm last time and the US-bred inmate has now landed three of her last five starts. She still looks at the right end of the weights and can follow up. Purple 'n' Gold is an interesting contender for David Pipe but it's Tilstarr who rates the prime threat. She's enjoyed a consistent season, is not trip or ground dependent and should be competitive off a mark of 71. Play Street, pretty consistent too, is next best.
