Verdict

Any number in with chances on the best of their form, or if they can translate AW form to turf. However, we are going to concentrate on the following. The only course and distance winner in the race, Madame Maxi, is two pounds higher than for that win but her rider claims a useful five pounds and, with a decent draw, she can go well. Zafarshah is fairly lightly raced and can be competitive off a mark of 61, while Satyr's sole win came from a much higher mark, albeit two years ago. Of the others, many of whom have to be considered, Free Option has a major chance on his best form, Torrid Kentavr comes here from a chase success, but middle distances seemed to suit him best once upon a time, and Abuelos, representing last season's winning yard, has hinted that there is better to come.
