Maddie's A Jem can land this at the expense of Waterside and Sewmuch Character. Shane Kelly's mount is at least capable of handling the surface and looks much improved. Connections are keen to strike while the iron's hot and we will seek not to oppose. Waterside looked in need of the run before an outing on similar surface at Windsor and should go well off a revised handicap rating. Sewmuch Character is a winner waiting to happen. He ran well on this surface last time out but is arguably a much better performer on quicker ground. Time N Time Again has been involved in a long running battle with the handicapper and its hard to see him victorious with these conditions. Antonio Canova delighted connections with a big race win at Ripon a few seasons ago yet there have been few highs since. Dorchester is often well backed without too much return for his supporters. In the finale, Maddie's A Jem looks the most likely suitor.
