    Verdict

A market check is essential but it may be worth taking a chance with Kingship Spirit. Seaway is the only runner in the field with experience and the John Gosden trained colt was only worried out of it close home at Haydock on debut and should have derived plenty of benefit from that experience. The form didn't appear to be anything out of the ordinary though and there are some interesting sorts in opposition. Exceptional Art represents Peter Chapple-Hyam whose yard could be about to go on a better run of form whilst Ed Dunlop has made an unusually brisk start with his newcomers and confidence behind the chances of Alkhafif should be noted. Richard Hannon is a name more readily associated with juveniles and he saddles two but we'll take a chance with the Noseda runner given that yard's excellent form with their two year olds. The selection is bred to make into a speedy type this year and Kingship Spirit may be able to make his debut a winning one.
