Verdict

Karl Burke's Officer Mor has the best form among those to have raced, having found just Fathey too good in a Hamilton maiden at the beginning of the month, and he has to be respected but may not represent much in the way of value and preference is for Nimmy's Special, who gets the vote over Northumberland. The last mentioned is a well bred newcomer from Mark Johnston's stable and has to be considered but the stable's youngsters tend to need their first start so he looks best watched. Money for the speedily bred Calley Ho would be of interest, while Captain Scooby may want a softer surface being by Captain Rio. Darknstormy is another Kyllachy colt, who makes appeal on pedigree. A better bet though may prove to be Bryan Smart's Nimmy's Special, who is bred to be useful and speedy and she gets the vote.
