    Verdict

A tough one to call as there is very little to split Dubai Success and Gamut on their meeting at Newbury last month. However, the former showed a gutsy attitude to come out on top on that occasion and is given a narrow verdict as he bids to confirm the form. Last year's winner of this race Warrsan is another determined character who will be hard to shake off if he runs his usual race, but his task is not made any easier by his 3lb penalty and he is reluctantly passed over as his yard has made a really quiet start to the campaign. Moments Of Joy, who finished a respectable fifth in the St Leger last September, gets a handy weight-for-age allowance and is fancied to be best of the rest. In contrast to Systematic, who has not seemed the same horse since he suffered a training set-back and he now has a little to prove. Therefore, it could pay to concentrate on Dubai Success as he is still open to bags of improvement as he will only be having his seventh ever career start when he takes his position in the line up this afternoon. There is unlikely to be much between himself and Gamut if this runs to form but, as the recent rain is more in his favour, Dubai Success is taken to live up to his name and come out on top again today.
