In depth

Verdict

With Michael Bell's stable in good form, the lightly-raced Cooden Beach can become another winner for the yard. Four pounds better off for two lengths with Blanco based on their Nottingham runs last month, he holds chances of reversing that form. The consistent Night Wolf should run well for Mick Channon. This is a low-grade affair but the colt's third at Warwick last time looks good in the context of this race, although he has a long way to go to repay his 140,000gns price-tag. Miss Issy's run earlier on the card might give a clue as to the value of his overall form too. Formerly with Mick Channon, Royal Indulgence could well prove suited by this trip. Blanco was foiled in his three-timer bid at Windsor on Monday and, interestingly, Channon's stable jockey Steve Drowne takes the ride. Manx Fizz and Rescind have the odd bit of form while Bezant could improve at this longer trip. Green Desert's half-brother, American Embassy, has a lot to prove even though Ed Dunlop's stable is in good form.
