Verdict

The draw may play a major part in the opener and of those boxed low, Great Game is taken to get the better of those on his inside, including Easy Rider. Richard Hannon's charge shaped well on his first three starts as a juvenile, but flopped badly at Chepstow. It looks as though he needed time to strengthen up and his trainer's patient policy should reap dividends this term. Easy Rider has a good pitch next to the rails but has just gone off the boil a bit of late, and a bigger danger, although drawn wide, is likely to be Etoile Solitaire who is going the right way judged on his respectable effort in a classified event at Thirsk in which he was sent off as favourite.
