In depth

Verdict

Saif Sareea gets the call ahead of Thistle and Platinum Charmer. Saif Sareea has proven a revelation of late and, judged on his latest win, still has more to come. He should go well under his penalty. Polish Power has run up a sequence on the all-weather but will need to further build on the form if he is to win. Thistle could start the season on a fair mark, and is respected, while Stage Manager has shown some promise on the all-weather and now debuts on Turf. Platinum Charmer is five pounds above a winning mark so needs to build on his best to score, although he is a course and distance winner, while Fiddlers Creek is well-weighted based on the best of his all-weather wins, but we are happy to stick with Saif Sareera as the selection.
