    In depth

    Verdict

San Hernando is the one to be on, with Allborn Lad and Seeador seen as the main rivals in the opening event on the card. San Hernando was pulled out of an engagement last week because of the fast ground, but if Emma Lavelle lets him run here, the six-year-old should take the beating. He is only lightly raced over timber and has more scope than most, having chased home subsequent winner Here We Go at Fontwell in April. That form sets the standard here and he can outstay his rivals to score. Allborn Lad is only now starting to get the hang of things, and Seeador is very consistent but always finds one too good. The rest look nothing special, and basically San Hernando has been found the best possible opportunity to open his account over hurdles.
