In depth

Verdict

A competitive affair can go to Brockhole who gets the vote over Mary Gray and High Frequency. Winning hurdler Thoutmosis could be interesting back on the Flat, given his breeding, while a repeat of Brockhole's March all-weather run would give him a very good chance. Toss The Caber has also won over hurdles and would be very interesting if taking to this trip. Whoopsie can be considered for a place while Mary Gray would hold very good claims if getting back to last summer's form. High Frequency holds claims on all-weather form, while much as Sconced showed himself to be in good heart over hurdles, we prefer others today but, with Darryll Holland booked, Three Boars gets a solid mention. The vote, once again, though, goes to Brockhole.
