In depth

Verdict

Sea Salt holds excellent claims here and gets the vote ahead of Midnight Pearl and Mozakhraf. Well clear of the others on official ratings following a good second to Boreham at Thirsk last time, connections look to have found a good opening for the selection today. Midnight Pearl looked promising at Thirsk last year, and with his stable's horses running pretty well at present, he is respected. A repeat of Mozakhraf's autumn form would put him in the money, while, finally, Urbe Condita is one to monitor in the betting but the vote stays with Sea Salt.
