In depth

Verdict

Safranine may be the one here, with Ryan's Quest and Song Koi the ones to give her most to do. This is a poor race indeed, with duck-eggs all over the place, but the recent second of Safranine augurs well for Ann Stokell's mare, as that was her first outing since running on Turf in July. Although she was never going to get to Hammer Of The Gods last time, she will come on for the run and is undoubtedly well treated compared to form of old. Ryan's Quest has deteriorated and has not been seen since August, and the fact that he is a danger shows just how bad this race is. Song Koi is relatively lightly-raced and has a race in her judged on her close second in maiden company at Newcastle in September. The rest are woeful, and the pin comes down on Safranine.
