Verdict

Pererin is given the verdict over Heathyards Joy, with Beauty of Dreams and Crimson Star not entirely out of things. Pererin has been a model of consistency without managing to get his head in front since being switched back to the all-weather, but again has leading claims and can put matters right today. Neil King's charge was sent off favourite over seven furlongs here a week ago, but was found wanting in the closing stages and although beaten in the past over a mile, should go close. Heathyard's Joy had been off the track for four months before finishing a staying on third to Averami, also a week ago and is sure to come on for the run. Beauty Of Dreams was a beaten favourite in that contest but came from a bad position and was staying on well at the finish so should not be left out, while Crimson Star was further behind from her wide draw and should also be a lot closer this time. There is not much between the principals, but the vote goes to Pererin.
