Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won this twice in the last 16 years, with Fame And Glory and Yeats. This season's entry, KINGFISHER, is unlikely to prove in the same class though he saw the back of his illustrious stablemate Australia three times last season. He had Panama Hat just behind when reappearing in a Group 3 at Navan and should confirm the form and take this. Toe The Line was beaten a long way in that latter event but that wasn't his form and he's better judged on his victory in a Listed contest at the Curragh in September when he had Kalann around three lengths back in third. Willie Mullins saddles the hurdler Aklan, though he may find the ground too quick, but Fog Of War will enjoy the conditions but hasn't raced over a trip this far.
