        In depth

        Verdict

        First-time blinkers on Shamila mean that we will give her one more chance here, with Baizically and Zaharath Al Bustan others for the short list. Shamila has had to be content with being bridesmaid on three successive occasions thus far and this longer trip will certainly suit her better than the maximum of seven furlongs that she has been tried over so far. She should act on this faster ground and with the headgear to keep her mind on the job we'll take her to break the duck. Baizically ran green in a Newbury maiden last backend but should know much more about the job this time. Jamie Osborne's colt is by Galileo but has also got plenty of speed in the pedigree and it will be interesting to see how he shapes up here. Zaharath Al Bustan comes from a yard going well but is another who has perhaps flattered to deceive. The soft ground at Ripon last time clearly didn't suit and we expect her to leave that running well behind here, but preference is for Shamila to score.
