In depth

Verdict

Squirtle, Iberian Light and Beauchamp Unique look to be the three to concentrate on here and we take the latter to score. Gerard Butler's filly is bred to come into her own at this trip and is very interesting now tried over it for the first time. She should handle this faster surface well, and already has winning experience to draw upon, and in what could prove a trappy contest she is taken to score. Both Squirtle and Iberian Light have shown ability on the racecourse, with the former just being edged out at Warwick last week, and clearly meriting respect back over a trip that suits. Meanwhile Iberian Light races over 12 furlongs for the first time here and has stamina to prove, so we are happy to stick with Beauchamp Unique.
