This is generally won by a hurdler and SPIRIT OF ADJISA certainly fits the bill. Tim Vaughan's charge last won on the Flat at Chester in 2009 from a mark of 81 and he's just 3lb higher here. He's improved 26lb in two runs over timber this year and should have no problems transferring that progress to the level. Liberate is another very useful hurdler who arrives here in winning form having scored at Haydock before making a winning debut over fences at Worcester. He's also on a lenient mark and looks sure to go well. Mark Johnston has a wonderful record at the meeting and the useful Bowdler's Magic is interesting stepping up markedly in trip. Never Can Tell is a tough filly who should have no problems staying the trip while Bow To No One had dropped to a very lenient mark before her second to French Hollow at York and is still reasonably treated despite a 3lb rise.
