Verdict

Former hunter chaser Around Before could prove to be well handicapped and, as such, Jonjo O'Neill's gelding ought to be followed until beaten. despite the odd mistake, he won well on his debut and can defy a a 10lb rise in the ratings. Compton Chick is tried in a visor in a bid to follow up her Worcester win of two runs ago, for which she was raised nine pounds. Irish import West Pal has won once from three starts in this country and has a right to be competitive from his current mark. Ms Trude was leading when unseating her rider two out as she was bidding to follow up her comfortable Stratford win - for which she was raised 14lbs - and she adds intrigue to the event, but Millennium Gold, racing from a pound out of the handicap, has yet to run a race despite being often placed.
