made all, pushed well clear when hit last, ridden out flat
jumped green, tracked winner until driven and weakened rapidly after 2 out, went distant 3rd last
took keen hold, tracked leading pair, still keen after 2 out and disputing 2nd, driven and weakened rapidly well before last, eased when well beaten flat
tracked leading pair, disputing 2nd after 2 out, chased winner well before last, kept on flat, no real impression
Just the four runners for the opener and with soft going prevailing, COMPRIMARIO is the selection with Prince Pippin as the alternative. The selection raced just once on the flat for John Dunlop without too much in the way of success but with Nigel Twiston-Davies firing in the winners of late; we are hopeful that this juvenile can add to the tally. Prince Pippin won a claimer at Plumpton on his first outing over the sticks. He was supported at longer odds on that day despite returning at an SP of 40/1. Shakalaka finished fourth in a Kempton maiden on the polytrack and is conceivably capable of making a bold show on debut. Tarawa Atoll took a heavy fall at Plumpton last time out. She has a bit to do on her previous flat form. Comprimario is the pick in a race of limited punting appeal.
