Verdict

Just Observing gets the nod over Hernando Royal in what looks a two-horse race on paper, with Lorrinae interesting on her debut. Just Observing always found one or two too good as a juvenile, but showed that she had trained on when a fair second on Wolverhampton's Polytrack last month, and with Frankie Dettori booked to ride, is taken to finally open her account with the fast ground in her favour. She has most to fear from Hernando Royal who created a favourable impression when second to Hero Worship at Pontefract. He would have been closer had he not raced wide into the straight, and with the latter following up in a handicap last week, the form looks solid. He might have to play second fiddle again here, but should have the legs of the rest including Loriinae who hails from a yard in form. She gets all the allowances on her debut and is worth noting. It is Just Observing that is the one to beat.
