In depth

Verdict

FINE ARTICLE went to Thurles last month with what looked a winning chance but had to settle for third in an eventful race where a couple of mistakes put paid to his chances and he was impeded after the last. The two who finished in front look decent and the remainder were in another parish so compensation awaits. Dallas Cowboy landed a Wexford maiden hurdle in good style and was in touch when falling two out in a Grade 2 at Navan in October. He hasn't run well subsequently but he has a smart chasing pedigree and could prove a nice prospect over fences. Winning point-to-pointer High In The Clouds won a maiden hurdle at Clonmel in September, though that was on good ground, but Railway Rule appears to have gone backwards after early promise over timber.
