In depth

Verdict

Plenty of these arrive in top form including Theo, who hadn't shown much until an improved run at Down Royal for which a 6lb rise looks manageable. He wouldn't want any more rain but conditions should be ideal for EDVARDO. His last two victories have been on very testing ground and though up 8lb for last month's Limerick victory he's on the upgrade and can go in again. One Can Cally had shown virtually nothing before her Gowran maiden victory where she stayed on powerfully to beat the odds-on Dubai Devils while winning point-to-pointer Heron Heights ran well over a trip too short at Wexford on St Patrick's Day. Blazing West is only 4lb higher than when successful here in December though that was over the minimum trip, as was Rooster Byron's second place behind Head Turner at Wexford.
