    Verdict

The two Godolphin runners at the top of the racecard must be major players, however REGGANE is a classy filly and if she handles the track better than other Gallic raiders in the past then she might be hard to beat. Alain De Royer-Dupre's Red Ransom filly was a well-held fourth at Lingfield on her latest start, but should have come on plenty for that after her seasonal break. She should appreciate the return to a mile and didn't have the best of draws anyway at Lingfield so we will scratch that run and instead hope for a repeat of her second to Ghanaati in the Coronation Stakes which would blitz these. Mr Dettori sides with Antara which must arouse interest; this filly has a first run for Godolphin since being whisked away from Germany and on the bare face of it she looks a filly not to mess with, having racked up three wins at the end of 2009. One issue is her penalty, meaning that stablemate Aspectoflove is not ignored. She ran fairly well at Goodwood last month on her first start since returning from Dubai and should be all the better for the experience. First City did well to get as close to Seta at Leicester as she did, Ryan Moore retains the ride on the tricky filly Pachattack, whilst Penny's Gift tries blinkers after her reappearance behind the selection hinted at no improvement, whilst Jira looks the best of the 90+ rated brigade as she drops in class. Not an easy race to call then, but the hope is that Reggane can display her class.
