Glenridding is a model of consistency and he can win again here; Bailieborough and Esoterica appeal most from the others. James Given's 4-year-old could not be in better form and he lost no caste in defeat at Wolverhampton last time when he was only narrowly beaten by Moonlight Man. He has yet to win on the turf which is a slight cause for concern, but this will be only his fourth run on it so has not had many chances. Bailieborough returned to form last time at Redcar when he was second behind Daniel Thomas. This drop in trip is a plus for him and he can go well. Esoterica ran his best race of the season at Ayr last time, but he is best on fast ground so any further rain would work against him. Aussie Blue will not mind the cut in the ground and he ran well last time, so he is another contender. However, a safer bet looks to be Glenridding and he is the pick.
