Verdict

MAJESTIC MYLES has won only twice since 2010 but both victories came in this race. Last year's contest was more competitive so a famous hat-trick looks his for the taking. The enigmatic Navajo Chief has bags of ability when he deigns to show it but is penalised for a Listed win at York in May and the remainder are all decent handicappers looking for that bit extra in this company. Dr Red Eye and Correspondent have both won tough handicaps over track and trip with the former preferred as he should handle the fast ground better while both Ladyship and The Taj will need to step up on their recent efforts if they're to trouble the selection. Rivas Rhapsody has little chance at the weights and is overlooked.
