Verdict

Alta Lilea is good enough to get involved but too unreliable to seriously consider as she followed-up a Newmarket victory with a last of seven at Newbury. Good Evans is more consistent but up another 6lb after landing a double with success at Sandown last time. He still makes more appeal than the likes of Snowy Dawn and Gabriel The Master but the speculative vote goes to DEIRA PHANTOM. He'll need to improve on his latest five length defeat at Newmarket but has plenty of scope to do so on only his third attempt at handicapping having won his racecourse debut at Salisbury early this year.
