Ian Fleming battled to victory at Wolverhampton though is 7lb out of the handicap but Dark Devil progressed nicely in his first campaign and Richard Fahey's grey starts off in handicaps on a fair mark, despite being 2lb wrong in the weights. Storm Rising looked a promising type when completing a double on soft ground at Newbury so it was a surprise when he finished last of five in similar conditions at Newmarket and he’ll need to bounce back. ABOVE N BEYOND (NAP) landed a Kempton maiden in very good style and has been mixing it in Listed company subsequently so he'll appreciate the drop in class. Richard Kingscote picks him over Doncaster winner Arcanada so the hint should be taken. Ode To Evening didn't handle the step up in trip and to Group 3 company at Sandown and this should be more to his liking.
