Verdict

Older horses towards the top end of the handicap have dominated this prize and KAVACHI, Cheam Forever and Licence To Till may be the three to concentrate on. Kavachi is not ideally drawn but he's usually held-up so it may not inconvenience him as much as it would some of his opponents and, whilst he will need plenty of luck in running, he's far too well handicapped to ignore having shown signs of a return to form at Goodwood. An each-way interest looks best as Cheam Forever looks poised to run a big race from the three box having been well backed at Pontefract last time; he made a bold bid to make every yard and this course and distance winner won't be easy to pass. Licence To Till represents last year's successful trainer and looks well-in here having returned to form at Epsom over a trip that might have stretched him but his draw is not ideal for one that likes to race prominently. Eastern Gift is another with possibilities whilst the regally bred Al Joza battled on well to beat a subsequent winner at Windsor and has to be feared but is another that could be undone by the draw. Kavachi is drawn even higher but Ryan Moore is fancied to weave his way through the pack and pounce close home.
