Verdict

Ron Hodges wastes no time returning Thursday's Newbury winner, Mister Musicmaster to the fray with Megan Nicholls retaining the mount after producing an impressive front-running ride in Berkshire. A mile on quick ground suits admirably and he'll be a tough nut to crack if over those very recent exertions. All three of Starlit Cantata's victories have arrived at Lingfield on the polytrack but she went well enough last time when third on Turf to Maven at Beverley to enter calculations but the choice is HANNINGTON (NAP). Andrew Balding's four-year-old only has five runs to his name as a four-year-old and must surely be open to considerable future progression. Overcoming trouble in running to score at Lingfield last time was a praiseworthy performance and he looks handicapped to go very close off a 3lb higher mark.
