Verdict

Pitt Rivers won a division of this last year and is the only course and distance winner in the line-up, though recent form offers little encouragement. Irish raider Like A Prayer almost made all over a mile at Gowran so has to be a danger over this shorter trip while La Havrese looked to be on the way back to form when a close third at Catterick. Call Me Crockett has gone close on several occasions but is still a maiden while Sewn Up, six times a winner on the all-weather, has never won in 24 starts on Turf though couldn't get any lower in the weights. OUTLAW KATE has been making steady progress which culminated in a victory at Ffos Las and with just a 3lb rise she can complete a double in a tricky race in which both Raise A Billion and Mr Sundowner are running well enough to get involved.
