Verdict

ALJAMAAHEER put up a fine effort when second in the Queen Anne Stakes at Ascot, and having previously demonstrated an aptitude for fast ground, he can make Group 1 form count. Richard Hannon has a good record in this race so don't rule out Trumpet Major despite his Group 2 penalty. The latter is tried in headgear having struggled in better company but he proved he was no back number when scoring at Sandown in April. Afsare is an enigmatic performer and if he can be coerced into entering the stalls, he will prove a tough nut to crack. Mull Of Killough is a credit to Jane Chapple-Hyam having won five times, placed in the Cambridgeshire and finished a respectable fifth at Kranji since joining her yard. Aesop's Fables was a Group 1 winner in France when trained by Andre Fabre but he disappointed in two starts in Dubai for new connections and is probably best watched on his return to Europe.
