In depth

Verdict

Plenty with claims in the opener including recent Newmarket winner Cairn Island, who is 3lb higher. But MR WAGYU is due to be raised 2lb for last week’s third in the Ayr Gold Cup and John Quinn’s charge gets the vote on that form. Internationaldream has a shout on his latest third over course and distance and should have the beating of Nomadic Empire, who scored over the minimum trip at Leicester earlier in the week. Chairmanoftheboard posted his best effort so far this year when placed at Doncaster but Treacherous has a bit to find with the selection on earlier running at Goodwood.
