In depth

Verdict

Atabaas Pride can make experience count over Apollo Shark, Captain Royale and Medici Time to name but three. Atabaas Pride has had two runs to date, going down narrowly at Ayr on the latest occasion, and with the ground easing, is expected to take the beating here before being prepared for a crack at the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at The Curragh later this year. Granted, he will need to improve more to meet that date, but should at least prove hard to stop here. Apollo Shark is well entered up as well, and showed a glimmer of ability on his Ripon bow, while Captain Royale also boasts a string of big-race entries, but looked as green as grass on his debut at Kempton ten days ago. Of the remainder, Medici Time hails from a family of winners and could go well at a price, with preference much for Atabaas Pride.
