        Verdict

        A very tricky maiden to get to grips with and the betting ring really will provide the best clues today. Mark Tompkins has won the last two renewals of the race and has a cracking record with his runners at this course. However, Reedsman would not be an immediate selection to complete the hat-trick on what he has shown to date and he may have concede best to something like Florida Heart, who arrives here as the most experienced runner in the field. Tattersalls Autumn Auction Stakes entry Landucci, and Cellarmaster are others to monitor for signs of support but Florida Heart has already shown that a race of this nature is his for the taking and he may be the spoiler for the rest today. His cheap purchase price ensures that he receives plenty of weight from the majority of his rivals and he may be hard to pass today if he is allowed an uncontested lead today.
