Verdict

A weak selling contest in which Holly Rose is a tentative pick ahead of Castle River, and Mustawa. Don Cantillon's four-year-old does at least have winning form, having collected at Brighton and Folkestone in the past, both times when ridden by today's pilot Hayley Turner. She has flashed her tail before now, but there was nothing wrong with her staying on fourth to Windy Brittain at Leicester eight days ago, and this drop in grade should be well within her capabilities. Castle River is a shadow of the horse that won at Beverley for Barry Hills last year, but has gone down in the ratings and may actually reach the frame, while Mustawa has regressed since turning out at Goodwood in June and has yet to be placed. This really is a dire contest in all truth, only a small interest in Holly Rose is advised.
