In depth

Verdict

Sapphire Storm was collared close home here over six furlongs in similar company last time and Paul d'Arcy's filly is taken to go one better today at the main expense of No Overtime and Lucys Lady. The last mentioned has a penalty to carry for her win at Haydock in June and has struggled under her penalty since then as did Bermuda Beauty when behind the selection here last month. John Quinn's Martharum has gone well in this grade before and is entitled to be thereabouts again along with Bill Turner's Queens Bounty, who drops into the bottom grade for the first time. Sapphire Storm has an obvious chance after her latest start though and gets the vote to go one better dropped to the minimum trip that should suit.
