Desperation is not without a chance at the weights but Karl Burke's gelding may struggle to concede the best part of two stones to Creek Dancer, who is preferred to Rock Haven. The last mentioned represents the in-form yard of Walter Swinburn and has to be respected but is another that has plenty of lead to shoulder and that may be enough to prevent him from opening his account. The William Jarvis-trained Dinner Date is towards the other end of the weight scale and has claims on the pick of his form along with Hugh Morrison's Lujain Rose. Charlie Cyzer's Ten Cents is another worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Creek Dancer. Rae Guest's filly is well in on official BHB ratings and looks worth another try at this trip, especially in today's grade.
