Jonjo O'Neill won this race last year but his option on this occasion, Kensington Oval, will need to find a lot more than he has shown so far to challenge for the honours here. Tanmeya has won twice over the chase fences here but hasn't shown much in eleven starts in total over hurdles, so is avoided on that basis. London Times ran well to place second here twice in August and he is respected. Cool Bob ran decently last time out but offers less appeal as he is still a maiden from thirty-three starts. Goat Castle is a big threat as he continues to progress with each start and is favourably weighted with Crystal Rock another likely danger after finishing third here earlier in the month. We take a tentative chance with THE BRIMMER who won a similar affair at Exeter in April and was clearly leading here until a mistake towards the finish took the wind out of the sails. If he can run without the errors then he has the ability to score.
