A tough start to proceedings but APACE appeals as a filly who may prove better than her current mark in time and she's suggested. The 350,000 guineas purchase is from a good family but has been something of a slow learner as she became outpaced on her first two outings. There was much more promise from her win at Folkestone (albeit in a moderate race) and she should have more to offer. Sylvestris ran well on debut when Picabo and Winter's Night were amongst those behind but could struggle to confirm the placings on these terms. Byrony has flowered of late and her latest 8lb rise may be insufficient to halt her progress although there are plenty of handy types lurking lower in the weights and it would be no surprise to see Miss Sinatra and Darajaat figure prominently with the latter of particular interest given her Group 1 entry.
