In depth

Verdict

Gatecrasher looks interesting in this seller and is take to land it at the expense of Phildari and Montys Tan. The selection is ridden by Tony McCoy and is slowly proving on his form this summer. He ran well enough at Fontwell in a similar contest last month and although there are horses in the race that are dropping in grade he will only have to reproduce his latest effort to go close once again. Phildari is one of those horses that is taking a drop in grade and did win over fences in April off a mark of 86. Since then though he has failed to trouble the judge and in the process labelling himself as moderate. That said he has to be given respect coming from a big yard so is one to note. As is Montys Tan who ran well at Fontwell when second to Sovereign Spirit, but then disappointed at Newton Abbot with Tony McCoy on board. Again he is now dropped into selling company so if producing his best he has to be respected. But for the winner we return to Gatecrasher.
