Verdict

Constant Cheers can complete his hat-trick at the main expense of Show Winner and Aypeeyes. The selection has suddenly discovered the winning touch having scored only once in his previous fourteen starts. He races from an 8lb higher mark tonight and has to transfer that form to the all-weather (he has been placed just once in six previous attempts) but he's run well enough at this venue in the past to suggest that the surface won't be an issue. Show Winner has gone up by 5lbs for finishing second over ten furlongs here but he's blessed with a fair bit of ability and the extra furlong on offer here should suit; he can be expected to be in the mix. Aypeeyes has won two and made the frame on another two of his five all-weather starts. He's yet to race at this venue and may ideally prefer another furlong but should go well. Safari Sundowner has claims back in this grade whilst Towerofcharlemagne would be of interest if attracting support as Emma Lavelle sent out Tomina to win a similar contest on the back of an absence from the Flat earlier in the year. For the selection, though, we'll come back to Constant Cheers.
