Verdict

Jeff Pearce's FORMIDABLE GUEST escapes a penalty for her win over course and distance earlier this month and she can follow up here and complete the hat-trick with the main dangers rated as Follow The Flag and Ella Woodcock. Eric Alston's gelding was a narrow winner of a handicap over course and distance just under two weeks ago but a 4lb rise for that success makes this more difficult and he may be best watched now. Michael Wigham's Confidentiality disappointed at Lingfield last time and may now be a shade high in the weights having been running well in recent months. Just Bond has been running consistently well and should again be thereabouts but does need to improve to trouble the judge and of more interest may be Alan McCabe's Follow The Flag, who ran a poor race here last time but he is better than that and is not badly treated on the pick of his form. Formidable Guest has an obvious chance though and is hard to oppose.
