Verdict

Bright Sparky had Mary Helen back in fifth when staying on well to beat Little Richard here on Friday. The latter's run in the first division of this race should be a pointer to his chances here but Mick Easterby's charge is probably worth taking on in this slightly better grade under a penalty. Swords has won over a variety of trips here in the past but recent efforts suggest he's on the downgrade, while Acropolis doesn't always find much off the bridle though did finish ahead of Wrecking Crew at Kempton last month. CAPTAIN COOL looks the one to beat, therefore, having returned to winning ways at Lingfield nine days ago - a 5lb rise in the weights may not be enough to prevent a follow up.
