In depth

Verdict

The market should be watched closely with reference to Mark Johnston's newcomer Harry Lime, who is a half-brother to the smart Crowded House and cost 115,000 guineas as a yearling. But we are going to give another chance to MAHER, who kept decent company as a two-year-old and may well have beaten Art History on his reappearance over C&D last month had he not been hampered on the home turn. Brandy Alexander will probably do better in handicaps but there should be more to come from Loyal N Trusted, who wasn't disgraced in a hot maiden at Lingfield last time. The four-year-old Strophic also has a bit of scope and connections can be trusted to place him to good effect this year.
