      Verdict

      Holden Eagle went very close to landing a hat-trick of C&D wins when runner-up to Den Maschine last week. He's gone up another 5lb as a consequence, however, and will do well to confirm recent running with Hallstatt on much worse terms. The latter was just denied over a longer trip here last time with Hit The Switch behind and Corvette also needed 1m6f to finally get her head in front at this track last month. MAID OF MEFT was having her first start for Keith Dalgleish when scoring over C&D last week and as the change of scenery seems to have revitalised her, she gets the vote to defy a penalty and follow-up.
