    Verdict

John Butler looks to have found a good opportunity for STAND GUARD here. He failed to land the odds up against a rejuvenated Trans Sonic at Southwell last month but is a multiple winner on the Polytrack and today's opposition doesn't amount to much. Gay Sloane has been hurdling without success of late and hasn't won a race since 2009 and though Shy has a bit to find at the weights with the selection, she could prove the main threat with a recent pipe-opener at Lingfield under her belt. It's hard to make a serious case for any of the remainder unless Tulia De Gravelle proves much better on the Flat than she is over hurdles.
