      Verdict

Gossip Queen is taken to make a winning debut over fellow newcomer Bluff, with Croon, Solanich and Casino expected to give a good account. Those to have raced so far look nothing special, so it would be no surprise at all if Gossip Queen were to prove up to the task. James Fanshawe's filly, a cheaply-bought daughter of Daggers Drawn, is a half-sister to hurdles winner Royalette, and who knows, could one day go down that route herself. In the meantime, she should be placed to good effect on the Polytrack by her trainer who does not tend to run them in the winter unless they have shown more than enough at home. Bluff also comes from a yard that pays its way at this time of the year, and although he has already been gelded, is worth noting. Croon has had two runs at Lingfield to date and will improve, but on breeding will be seen to better effect over further. Solanich was eased considerably when beaten on his debut here last month and surely has more to offer, while Casino was only a place behind the useful Bravemore when fifth here on his introduction and can only get better, but in a hard one to call, Gossip Queen is saddled with the vote.
