Another weak contest and one that can be taken by Cloonavery, with Danzare and Plenty Cried Wolf also having lively claims. The selection put up a promising debut at Chepstow last month, when he was found out in the closing stages over a mile on fast ground. Clearly we are unsure how he will handle this surface, but he will undoubtedly come on for that run, where he was only beaten a couple of lengths, and Jamie Osborne can have him right to land this modest event. Danzare is another having only her second start in this race, and she too shaped with promise for a long way on her Kempton debut. COming from a powerful yard as she does, she can be much straighter for that race, and this extra furlong is also in the plus column, though her handling of this surface is the one to ponder and she opposed here. Plenty Cried Wolf has been brought along steadily by Richard Fahey, who never seems to be out of form, and a good run at this longer trip is also likely. However, he has shown a penchant for faster ground on turf and this slow surface might not be his thing. Kerry's Blade is another worth a second look judged on his second to Succession at Musselburgh a couple of starts ago, but we take Cloonavery to improve enough to land this prize.
